We here at SunLion Jewelry would like to
tell you about a few of the products we specialize in. There are several unusual
types of jewels and precious objects we have extensive experience in, and those
are Sharks Teeth, Rare and Unusual Coins, and Conch Pearls. Here are some more
info and pictures of a small sampling of them. Feel free to contact us with any
questions or requests, as we have excellent contacts for these treasures.
- Shark's Teeth
- The fascination man has had with these ancient
hunters of the sea goes back to Prehistoric times. Artists and
craftsmen have, throughout time, made totems and fetishes of these
creatures, and the artists here at SunLion are no exception. We
have been buying, selling and trading Shark's
Teeth for a very long time, and our collection of teeth ranges from prehistoric
to present and all of them are museum/specimen grade. We would be
delighted to tell you more about them and show you a few of the gems
we have created using bits of " the business end" of the
world's most successful carnivore.

- Conch Pearls
-
- Conch (pronounced konk) Pearls are among the rarest and most
valuable pearls in the world. Ranging from bone white to delicate pink
to fiery raspberry red, gem grade, Conch Pearls occur in one out of a
hundred thousand (or less) Conchs. We have one of the largest
collections of Conch Pearls in the area. Approximately forty of our
pearls and one of our pieces of Conch Pearl jewelry are on a ten year loan to the American Museum of Natural
History for their traveling exhibit "Pearls ." This exhibit has rapidly become the most popular traveling
museum exhibit in history, and we're very proud to have taken part in it.
For those interested in the exhibit, we have the current schedule of
events on our Conch Pearl page.
- Rare, unusual and
treasure Coins
- Neil has been collecting coins since he was a kid and collecting
treasure coins since arriving in Key West. Our collection of coins
ranges from ancient Greek and Roman coins to both Old World and New
World treasure and otherwise collectable coins . We have created
beautiful, unique jewels from them for hundreds of
satisfied customers, and we'd love to add you to that list. We are
members of the American Numismatic Association and carry a large
selection of coins from the shipwreck La Senora Nuestra de
Atocha,
wrecked 30 miles off the coast of the Florida Keys back in the late
1600s.
